About the Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Laundry Operations
Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and stack linens, and towels according to established procedures.
Inspect linens for stains, tears, or excessive wear and separate damaged items for repair or discard.
Maintain quality standards and ensure all laundry is clean, fresh, and properly folded.
Inventory and Distribution
Deliver clean linen to housekeeping closets, restaurants, banquet areas, and other departments as needed.
Collect and process soiled linen and terry from designated areas.
Assist with linen counts and maintain adequate inventory levels.
Notify supervisors of shortages or damaged inventory.
Cleanliness and Safety
Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and storage areas.
Follow all safety procedures regarding chemicals, equipment operation, and lifting techniques.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, hotel, and departmental standards.
Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.
Team Support
Assist Room Attendants and Housepersons with linen requests.
Support banquet and food and beverage departments with table linens and specialty items.
Work cooperatively with team members to ensure guest and operational needs are met.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hotel experience preferred.
Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push loaded linen carts weighing up to 200 pounds.

Ability to work in a warm and humid environment.
Performance Expectations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and linen quality.

Process laundry efficiently to meet daily hotel demands.

Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and dependability.

Adhere to all hotel safety, sanitation, and guest service standards.

Qualifications

The 2nd Shift Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items to ensure the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position supports housekeeping and banquet operations by maintaining adequate linen inventory and ensuring all items are processed efficiently and according to established quality standards.


Typical Schedule

  • Second Shift (typically 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) 

  • Weekends and holidays required
